Dr. Stuart Levy is an associate professor in the Department of Management at The George Washington University School of Business. He also leads the hospitality and event management concentrations in the Master of Tourism Administration program.

Stuart's areas of industry and academic expertise include digital marketing and hospitality management. Since 2006, he has taught internet marketing courses which focus on digital analytics, social media, paid search, search engine optimization, and email marketing. He is involved with the IBM Academic Initiative, participating in digital analytics and marketing management workshops. Stuart is a Certified Hospitality Digital Marketer and currently serves on the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International’s (HSMAI) Digital Marketing Council,
composed of fifteen hospitality industry experts.

Outside of academia, Stuart serves as a board member of the Cornell Hotel Society and the HSMAI area chapters. In 2009, he co-founded JAM (Jews and Muslims) DC, an organization which brings together Muslim and Jewish young professionals in the Washington D.C. area through social, educational, cultural, and service activities.

Stuart's record of scholarship includes eleven publications in business journals including the Cornell Hospitality Quarterly and the Journal of Business Ethics. His articles have explored and examined issues in social media, branding, relationship marketing, and corporate social responsibility.

Stuart has previously worked as a consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Global Hospitality and Leisure Practice. He has also served in management positions in tour operations and internet marketing. Most recently, he has participated in faculty fellowships with the Young & Rubicam Group, Marriott International, and Sabre Hospitality Solutions. Stuart received his B.S. from the Cornell School of Hotel Administration, M.B.A. from the Georgetown University McDonough School of Business, and Ph.D. from the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary.
