Cyrus Mavalwala, ABC lives at the intersection of business and communication.

He is an accredited and award-winning communication professional, trainer and keynote speaker who has been helping organizations achieve their business objectives for more than 20 years. He’s traveled the U.S., Europe and Canada while on assignment. The International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) rates Cyrus as an IABC All-Star Speaker.

In 2002, Cyrus founded Advantis Communications Inc., a B2B focused public relations and content marketing agency. At Advantis, Cyrus leads a team that develops and executes strategic communications plans that integrate traditional, digital and social strategies to deliver measurable business results.

In 2009, Cyrus co-founded Act Like An Agency, a global training and development organization. Cyrus provides in-house and virtual training workshops that help communication professionals evolve from tacticians to strategists in their organization.

At the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies, Cyrus develops curriculum for in-class and online courses and teaches social media strategy and communications management.

A three-time IABC/Toronto board member, Cyrus also volunteers with IABC at the international level. He judges local, national and international awards, including participating on the IABC Gold Quill and IABC Silver Leaf Blue Ribbon Panels. Cyrus has received awards related to public relations, media relations, video production, business and internal communications. Awards include Gold Quill, the IABC International Film Festival, Silver Leaf, OVATION, and the IABC/Toronto Business Award.
