Rafael is currently working as a business analyst at NRG, developing and improving Reliant.com as well as Reliant’s accompanying mobile, and smartphone apps. He works with an entire team to ensure that the online interface and the back-end processes that drive these projects are performing at peak efficiency.

Before NRG, Rafael was a web project manager for Gulf States Toyota, in charge of implementing web vision and web infrastructure initiatives for their Digital Marketing Department. Encompassing SEO and other current technologies, he brought together all the different parts to Toyota’s infrastructure for a complete online presence.

Previously, Rafael worked for Boeing, supporting NASA’s ongoing International Space Station (ISS) and Space Shuttle (which ended in 2011) as well as other forward-looking projects in Space Exploration.

While serving as a project manager for Goldfire Semantic Content Analytic Tool, he oversaw Enterprise-wide implementation of Goldfire through its product life cycle for 18 Boeing programs, including Generation Tanker, Knowledge Management, Human Resources, Boeing Library Services, and B-1/B52 Bomber.

While at Boeing, Rafael also served as a Lead System Administrator for Goldfire Innovator Engineering Analysis Search Tool to provide Project Management and IT Support for the Chief Engineer’s Office at Boeing. He oversaw configuration and setup of server/client environments, new user accounts, creation of new Corporate Knowledge indexes, and client/server configuration. Additionally, he provided Web and Graphics Development and Multimedia support for the Houston Chief Engineers office for ISS.

After becoming a SME (subject matter expert) for Semantic Technology, Open Innovation, he led company-wide employee training for Goldfire.

Rafael also served as a LEAN+/5S project manager for Houston IT Program Support and supervised a 10-person team through its lifecycle.
